Greetings Around The World

The best way to start knowing more about others cultures is learning how they greet each other. Let's see some of them:




"Namaste" - In India you put your hands together close to your chest and say this word that means "I bow to you", it is a sign of respect to the other person.

Shake hands- Is very usual in many countries, and in the business world.




A Bow - Most common in Japan, this is their way of expressing respect to the other person.


Kissing - Kissing cheeks on greeting, Women kiss women, men kiss women but rarely do men kiss men, we can see this in Spain, Brazil and Russia.



Maori - Maoris are a tribe from New Zealand, their way of greeting someone is touching noses that means the union of minds.


It is so interesting the different ways around the world for greet someone. How do you greet people?
